Unterstütze Jana in Sambia - Support Jana in Zambia

Im August geht es für mich nach Sambia. Genauer gesagt nach Kabwe zur Organisation Sables Nua – und das für ein ganzes Jahr. Doch was ist Sables Nua und was werde ich dort machen? Sables Nua ist eine Schule und zugleich eine Anlaufstelle für einige der am stärksten gefährdeten Kinder in Kabwe. Die Organisation ist eine Partnerorganisation von Brot für die Welt, bei der Menschen wie ich einen entwicklungspolitischen Freiwilligendienst machen können. Vor Ort werde ich Teil der Schulgemeinschaft sein. Am Ende dieses Jahres hoffe ich, nicht nur wertvolle Erfahrungen gesammelt zu haben, sondern auch persönlich daran gewachsen zu sein. Warum ist Ihre Spende so wichtig? Mein Freiwilligendienst wird über Brot für die Welt im Rahmen des weltwärts-Programms organisiert. Insgesamt kostet er etwa 18.700 €. Davon decken die Staatlichen Mittel des weltwärts-Programms etwa 50 Prozent. Die andere Hälfte wird durch Spenden finanziert, zu denen auch Ihre Spende gehört. Ihre Spende hilft nicht nur mir, sondern auch internationalen Austauschprojekten, bei denen Freiwillige aus dem Globalen Süden nach Deutschland kommen. In August, I will be going to Zambia. More specifically, to Sables Nua a organisation in Kabwe – for an entire year. But what is Sables Nua and what will I be doing there? Sables Nua is a school and also a support centre for some of the most vulnerable children in Kabwe. The organisation is a partner organisation of Bread for the World, through which people like me can take part in a development-oriented voluntary service. On site, I will become part of the school community. By the end of this year, I hope not only to have gained valuable life experiences, but also to have grown personally. Why is your donation so important? My voluntary service is organised through Bread for the World as part of the “weltwärts” programme. In total, it costs about €18,700. Around 50% of this is covered by public funding from the weltwärts programme. The other half is financed through donations, including your contribution. Your donation not only supports my voluntary service, but also international exchange programmes in which volunteers from the Global South come to Germany.
