Analysing the Triple Crisis with a New Climate Disaster and Debt Risk Indicator and Building Forward for a Resilient Recovery, Based on Climate Justice.

The cross-project evaluation assessed the community development interventions of 18 projects in Georgia. The projects, implemented by various partners and supported by Brot für die Welt, covered community development activities between 2016 and 2022. One focus of this evaluation was to assess the effects through collaborations. Therefore, the evaluation also assessed the feasibility of a "Lighthouse Project," a collaborative community development project in Georgia. One of the most important recommendations for Bread for the World and its partner organizations is to improve cooperation between actors by supporting or implementing such a project.

The evaluation examined the gender-related work at 131 partner organisations of Bread for the World as well as their projects that have gender as a main or cross-cutting issue. The summary describes the key findings and recommendations of the evaluation which was conducted from July 2020 to October 2021.

The project supported sustainable development for and in the New Valley Governorate through income generating activities for unemployed youth and young adults in the area of organic agriculture and community-based tourism. The evaluation, conducted in 2019, identified key areas and factors of success and achievements of the project and assessed to what extent the interventions undertaken contributed to the achievement of the project objective.

The evaluation assessed four Rural Community Development Programmes across the Middle Belt and north-eastern Nigeria implemented by different partners supported by Brot für die Welt in 2019. It provided a comprehensive review of the four programmes, with attention given to the institutional capacities of the respective organisations as well as the relevance, effectiveness, efficiency, impact and sustainability of the various programme activities

The evaluation reviewed different Climate Lighthouse projects in Ethiopia and Indonesia supported by Diakonie Katastrophenhilfe and Brot für die Welt in 2019-20. It presents the results of three individual on-site project evaluations as well as a synthesis of findings.

Between 2016 and 2018, Brot für die Welt conducted an evaluation of its projects in the funding area of Human Rights, comprising 300 projects in more than 50 countries. The synthesis report summarises the results of the desk study and field studies conducted in Mexico, Palestine and South Africa.

A Comparative Study of Land Rights Systems in Southeast Asia and the Potential of National and International Legal Frameworks and Guidelines

This report reveals the links between land acquisitions, human rights abus-es, violence and long-term conflicts, with reference to various country case studies. It identifies areas where ac-tion is needed and draws conclusions of relevance to further practical and political work on land, investment and food security. Its aim is to raise awareness of the need for conflict-sensitive action and for consideration of the long-term implications for peace and conflict.
