SUMMARY:Online-Seminar: SE 03 Critical self-reflection on power (sharing) a
 nd solidarity in decolonializing international cooperation
DESCRIPTION:Training Description\n\nProfessionals and partner organizations
  on the ground strive for cooperation in partnership in order to achieve sh
 ared development goals. However, this cooperation occurs in a post-/ coloni
 al context of historically grown and persisting socio-economic inequalities
  and injustices. Therefore, using a critique of power to examine our own sc
 opes of action is a prerequisite for co-operating in solidarity towards a s
 ustainable world community.\n\nIn this training, we will look at theoretica
 l foundations of and practical experience with power sharing. We invite you
  to reflect on your own role in the global context and the privileges that 
 go along with it. Together we want to develop ideas and approaches for how 
 we can use our respective power of action and change for greater global equ
 ality of opportunities.\n\n…in Short\n\n 	Understanding theoretical foundat

 	Reflecting on your own power, privileges, and position within global struc
 tures 	Developing practical ideas for using your scope of action in a power
 -sensitive and solidarity-based way \n\nTarget groups\n\n 	Professionals of
  Dienste in Übersee, in preparation for the work in partner organisations o
 f Brot für die Welt 	Professionals of other services and missionary agencie
 s in preparation 	Employees of church-related aid agencies \n\nDate and ven
 ue SE 03, 12.11. ‒ 14.11.2026 (via Zoom) \n\nThe training starts at 2.30 PM
  on the first training day and ends at 6.30 PM on the last training day.\n\
 nParticipation fee\n\nFor external participants, the fee is 420€ per person
 . Discounts are possible upon request. For professionals and accompanying p
 artners who have been accepted in the selection process by Dienste in Übers
 ee or are currently under contract, participation is free of charge. For em
 ployees of Brot für die Welt, the participation costs will be covered by th
 e central training budget.\n\nTechnical Equipment\n\nThe training will be f
 acilitated online via Zoom.\n\nPlease understand that professionals who are
  about to leave the country will be given preference in the distribution of
  places. In order to participate fully in the online training, you will nee
 d a laptop (or other suitable device), with functioning camera, microphone 
 and speakers, preferably a headset, as well as a stable internet connection
